Lagergren’s journey as a professional golfer began in 2010 when he turned pro after honing his skills on the Nordic League. Despite facing initial challenges, he persevered and earned his spot on the DP World Tour by graduating from the Qualifying School in 2011. Over the next few years, he continued to compete and improve, securing a victory on the Challenge Tour in 2014 and maintaining his card for the first time in 2015.

The 31-year-old celebrated a memorable milestone in his golfing career by clinching his first  DP World Tour victory at the 2018 Rocco Forte Sicilian Open. In a thrilling play-off against Mike Lorenzo-Vera, the Swede secured the win with a birdie on the first extra hole.

Lagergren’s passion for golf were sown at a young age, thanks to his stepfather Ola Eliasson, an accomplished professional who became part of his family. Lagergren took up the sport at the age of six, and with time, dedication, and guidance, he gradually honed his skills and embarked on the path that led him to his triumph at the Rocco Forte Sicilian Open.

His success story serves as a testament to his perseverance and the support he received from his family. From his humble beginnings in the Nordic League to becoming a DP World Tour champion, Lagergren’s journey is a testimony to the rewards of hard work, determination, and a love for the game of golf.
